Pain in the shoulder joint is a fairly common complaint among patients seeking help from specialists in electrical impulse therapy.
This problem not only causes significant discomfort and prevents you from enjoying life, but also frequently inhibits the ability to work or perform necessary household chores. That is why it is essential not only to get rid of pain as quickly as possible, but also to fully restore to health problematic joints and tissues, and eliminate the underlying causes of discomfort before the problem becomes chronic.
In this article, we will talk about a universal algorithm for eliminating pain in the shoulder area using the ENART® 911 device.
First of all, it is necessary that the patient, in accordance with their subjective feelings, indicates the point or area in which they experience the most severe pain. From this place it is necessary to start treatment with the device at each session.
Activate the “SM” mode and determine the specific point for treatment in the specified area using the triple audio tone emitted by the device. This signal will help to quickly and easily determine the priority point with the highest Initial Reaction in this area, the treatment of which will give maximum effect.
The point of localization of the most severe pain must be treated until the device emits a “Zero” signal. This signal indicates that at this point the maximum possible duration of effective treatment has been reached and its continuation will no longer cause a response from the body.
If the patient experiences very severe pain, after treating the first point in the “SM” mode, it is recommended to switch to another more powerful mode — for shoulder pain, this is usually “FMVAR” or “FMSW”. Then perform additional treatment of this point to obtain the maximum analgesic effect.
In the first sessions, this can take up to thirty minutes if the pain is severe. In subsequent sessions, the desired effect, as a rule, will be achieved more quickly.
After treatment of the point of localization of pain, it is necessary to continue treatment according to the “principle of symmetry”.
That is, even if the patient complains of pain in only one shoulder, it is imperative to treat a symmetrical point on the other shoulder.
There will be enough suitable fast treatment in the “SM” mode. To do this, in a symmetrical area on the other shoulder, use a triple sound tone to determine the priority point for treatment and treat it until the minimum effective “Dose” is reached (the device will emit two long sound tones). This is necessary to increase the overall recovery effect of the treatment.
When treating such problems, it is very important to treat symmetrically located limbs, joints, etc. It is also recommended to use the treatment of symmetrical areas in the treatment of, for example, fractures of the limbs, if you do not have remote electrodes at your disposal.
In the presence of remote electrodes, to treat a fracture, one electrode (either the remote electrode or the built-in electrode of the device) is placed on the skin at one end of the cast, or fixing splint, and the second electrode is placed on the skin at the other end of the cast. In this case, treatment of the entire area that is located between the two electrodes, that is, the fracture point and the whole of the area adjacent to it, is performed. It is also additionally necessary to treat a symmetrical area on another, healthy limb, and this will have the desired effect on the area where the fracture is located. This is the principle of symmetry.
After completing the main treatment, you can also treat the entire area of the joint in which the patient experiences pain (in this case, the shoulder) in the “CONST” mode, in motion. Or you can additionally find and treat in “SM” mode other priority points in the area of the painful joint, or in the symmetrical area. With this, treatment of the shoulder joints can be completed.
Next, you need to treat the area from where the nerves radiate to the point of pain localization, which we treated earlier. In the case of shoulder pain, this will be the neck area.
For treatment of the neck area, it is better to use the “EN” mode.
This is a universal treatment mode, which is also equipped with a diagnostic function (definition of priority points for treatment).
Find the priority points in “EN” mode and treat them until you receive the “Dose” signal, left and right on the front of the neck.
Then you need to activate the “CONST” mode and treat the entire front of the neck in motion.
Next, we need to treat the spinal area along the spinous vertebrae, or along the paravertebral lines in the “CONST” mode in motion.
With severe pain in the shoulder, as well as with concomitant diseases of the spine, treat additional points shown as priority for treatment in the “SM” or “EM” mode.
The device will tell you their location using a triple sound.
The treatment of these areas, which are directly related to the site of pain, constitutes the basic part of the treatment session.
After its completion, it is recommended to additionally treat one of the “general purpose zones”, that is the zone which when treated stimulates the recovery processes throughout the body and thereby increases the overall effectiveness for most treatment sessions.
When treating general purpose areas, it is not advisable to use those areas that have already been treated in this session. For example, in this case, it is the area of the jugular notch. This is a very powerful general purpose area.
But, since in this session we have already treated the neck, it is better to use some other general purpose area.
For example, the intestinal area.
Activate the “CONST” mode, set the frequency to 60 Hz, and treat this area in an expanding spiral from the navel.
Thus, it is recommended to treat 2–3 areas directly related to the pain localization point and one general purpose area during one session so that the body is not overloaded and the overall effect of the treatment is not reduced.
At the next session, it is also necessary to treat the area of pain localization.
Then, according to the principle of symmetry, treat the other shoulder joint. After that, treat the cervical region in front or behind.
Then, treat some other general purpose zone — it is recommended to change these zones from session to session so that the body receives a more complex effect.
For example, such a general purpose area in the second session may be the He-Gu point on the hand — it is located at the base of the thumb and forefinger.
The device will help to determine a specific point for treatment using a triple tone.
In the next session, in the same way, if there is a complaint of pain, work out the area of pain localization, then the symmetrical area.
Then you should no longer treat the neck, but change the area, and, for example, treat the lumbar region. It is also connected through the spine to the shoulder joints and its treatment will have the desired effect on the painful shoulder to, because the electrical impulse signal is transmitted through the spinal membrane.
You also need to understand that if there is some problem from below, for example, in the lower back, then the tension from it will necessarily spread along the spinal membrane, appear in the neck, and from there be transmitted to the shoulder. Therefore, it is recommended to treat areas directly related to the area of pain.
Similarly, if the patient’s main complaint is lower back pain, then in addition to treating the pain site, it is necessary to treat the chest and cervical region, because tension can be transmitted from there to the site of the main complaint.
In the case of shoulder pain, you can treat the neck or lower back and then additionally treat some general purpose area. For example, the “Six Points” zone or the “Three Pathways” zone.
Thus, by changing the associated areas and general purpose zones, and focusing on the reaction that the body shows you can plan a further treatment session.
The full course of treatment for such a problem usually ranges from 10 to 15 sessions. It depends on the degree of progression of the problem, what structural changes could occur there, what reserve the body has for recovery, and on other factors. After that, a recovery reaction occurs in the body and its peak occurs about a month after the end of the treatment course.
Another treatment technique, which is sometimes used in addition to the main method for complaints of shoulder pain, is called “Wings”.
To do this, activate the “INTVL” mode and place the electrodes of the device on a point at the base of the neck — this is where the trapezius muscle is located. The electrode must be applied to the base of this muscle, as if to “enter” under it, and then, using the (+) button, increase the energy of exposure. The shoulder will rise in response to the electrical impulse.
Thus, a large area is treated — the shoulder blade, neck, shoulder. The duration of such treatment is determined by the user independently, focusing on the subjective sensations of reducing soreness in the area.
We hope that this article and the methods of treating shoulder pain that we have discussed will be useful to you.
Take care of yourself and be healthy!
